Has anyone brought their own hor dourves to their hotel suite for a reception?

I know it's against the rules, but i thought of sneaking in my own champagne for my immediate family and some appetizers. Has anyone done this before?Has anyone brought their own hor dourves to their hotel suite for a reception?
Usually hotels want you to use their catering services if you are using their conference or meeting rooms. But if this is only for your immediate family I doubt it would be a big deal. At the end of the day, a hotel is customer satisfaction based so I doubt they would make a big deala out of something like that. yes it happens all the time. my friend is getting married in a month and is bring his own hor dourves. another of our friends is catering it.


doing your own catering is extremely acceptable and a good way to save money.
Just don't get too loud and get caught. If it's against their rules they CAN throw you out. If you're causing a lot of noise after like 9:00pm, there's a good chance they would, especially if you are catering it.
