If you're asking about the offer letter then it seems like you were not expecting one. You seem to be in a shock, too. Well, if you didn't apply there in the first place and if no one ever contacted you from the hotel regarding any interview etc then it's a scam for sure. Do you really think that anyone will just send you a job offer letter without you ever applying for it and without any interview? Nope. If you are in any doubt about the offer, simply call the hotel at +1-416-863-9000. Make sure you stop communicating with the sender of that offer either by regular mail or email. Never ever give them any of your personal details like copies of your ID, passport etc and never ever give anybody your bank account details or send them any money whatsoever. If you received the offer via an email just check the domain of that email because a genuine hotel will never operate from a yahoo, hotmail or gmail etc. account.
If you're really interested in working in a hotel and in Canada then go through the proper channel and that's Canadian immigration. I don't know what country do you live in so migrating to Canada might vary from one country to another. Good Luck. Unless you applied to the hotel, they're not going to simply give you a job, take care of your visa, fly you out and put you up. There are a lot of scams out there that prey on people like you that want a start in another country. In fact, unless you're some kind of superstar they're not going to look outside the country when there's a whole bunch of people already in the country looking for work.
Check out the letter online and see if it's legitimate. Contact the hotel directly but don't use the number or e-mail address they've given you in the letter. Every hotel in Toronto should have an address or a contact number that you can find online.
I'd wish you good luck, but I don't think the offer is genuine.
It is a group of people who are committing fraud by trying to steal the money from people who are looking for jobs and are desperate for a better life.
It is often referred to as the 419 Scam. These thieves will offer to process your job application for a certain amount of money, usually about US$125. They will then tell you that there was a problem with your application and you have to give another $125 if you want to get the job. They keep doing this until you give up and have lost all the money you are willing to give them.
I bet you probably got the email from a Yahoo! or Gmail account, and the sender was probably Rose or Paul. Right?
Do not send them money or personal information. You will only lose it.
It's a scam. Do not reply.
it is a scam, do NOT send money or personal information
