Approximately 20 - 25 people. The problem you will have is that your cake and champagne party will probably last about 30 minutes before the hotel security gets up there and throws everyone out.
As soon as your group gathers in your suite, the guests in neighboring rooms will call security to stop the noise. Seen it happen a zillion times. How many guests can you fit into a 750sq ft hotel suite, standing?
Okay...First...CONGRATULATIONS!...
I hope you have a long and happy marriage...like all partnerships, there's compromise...but remember you are a ';team'; working for ';mutual benefit'; and you'll do great!!!
Please ignore all the people saying ';parties in your room are not allowed';...that is NOT true...from someone who has ran properties! The rule is ';loud and/or rowdy parties'; are typically not allowed...having a party (a gathering of friends following your wedding) does not sound like it would be a drunken, rowdy, out of control event. Also, IF there were complaints the hotel operations would send security up to the room to 'warn' you to keep it down (assuming you aren't breaking things or exhibitng other illegal/inappropriate extreme behavior). Finally, YES, parties ARE ALLOWED in rooms...take it from me...we book and plan and arrange them yearly!!! You can even make arrangements with the hotel's F%26amp;B (Food and Beverage) departments to cater them for you. Depending on the property, type of event, etc...IN the room...it will most likely be either #1 Room Service #2 Banquets/Catering departments.
Okay, to your question...
Sorry...I think you'll want to bring more people than will fit. I used to RUN a major hotel, am still affiliated with a 14,000+ conference each year, and have been involved in the operations of a few of the biggest/most prestigious spots in Vegas...so I know this stuff...and a 750 sq ft suite...is ';usually'; (I don't know which property or which type of suite, it makes a different as to the layout)...but ';usually';...you'll have a seperate living room area with a small 'bar' setup/sorta area....and the bedroom will be somewhat seperated, usually with a door, but not always.
With the typical suite setup, including furniture, etc....I'd say no more than 10-15, including the two of you. Even with that, you'll have a tight fit as far as moving around in the room. If you are okay with people sitting on your bed (IN your bedroom with your clothes and personal belongs/gifts/etc) then MAYBE a few more...but I wouldn't recommend it.
Maybe best to either get a larger suite (if possible with your budget?)...or pick a restaurant to gather at afterwards.
tip #1 ...ask the front desk clerk when you check in if they have an suite upgrades available...for a small/decent tip...if they are available and you LET THEM KNOW YOU ARE GETTING MARRIED....they may bump you up to something quite amazing. MGM still has one of my fav's...about 1200+ sq ft...floor to ceiling windows...big bar...huge living room/dining area...even have some room if people wanted to dance!...but there are lots of options at all the hotels.
tip #2...check with a restaurant in the property you are staying at...maybe they'll work with you...depends on the property, the restaurant, the type of restaurant, etc. If you can get them all to the Freemont Street/Downtown area of Vegas...have a ';get together'; at the Firefly Cafe on the 2nd floor of the Plaza Hotel. Affordable food, and a 100% glass domed ceiling that if you are there at night is all lit up from the light show on Freemont street. An amazing view, good food and drinks...and no extra charge for the venue!!! Oh, ask Dan the manager or John the owner to the top/circular area as a reserved area for your group and a general idea how many people...and they'll take care of you! Tell them ';Michael'; the ';Finance Guy'; referred you...IF that works for you.
If you need extra help...feel free to email me.
There isn't very much room and suites are not for celebrating in. You would be better off arranging for the use of one of the Hotel reception areas for a few hours. If you bring more than 10 guests up there they will not be very comfortable and the hotel will get nervous. Remember, people arrive at all hours in Las Vegas and sleep at all hours. No one wants noise in the sleeping areas. Espceially where high paying guests, high rollers and comped gamblers are sleeping.

are they standing or laying down? will they be standing on furniture? I'd thing if you put the cake in the bath room about 750 people.
Think of a room that size in your house. About a room 10/15. I would say 12-15.
